A 10% non-refundable deposit will be taken by Inns en Route at the time of confirming your reservation. In addition 50% of total room charges is due 7 days after reservation is made. The second 50% is required 1 month before arrival. Holiday Season Dec15 - Jan02 requires a four night minimum stay. Half of total room charges due at time of reservation (non-refundable after seven days) . Balance due November 1st (non-refundable). Guests only permitted in pool, but public welcomed at bar and restaurant. Two persons maximum per unit. Check-in/out times flexible by arrangement. Please note that air conditioning is not used at this property. Tambor Tropical is very unique, not because it is small, beachfront, exclusive, has a brilliant pool area and fabulous gardens, but that the buildings are built in varnished exotic native woods. Two units share one building, one above, one at ground-level, and all enjoy great views. They each have a full kitchen should you wish to prepare your own coffee or snacks to enjoy on your deck, or prepared meals can be delivered to you. The public is welcomed in the hotel's dining area and bar facilities, but the pool is reserved for the exclusive use of guests. The hotel can arrange various tours throughout the Nicoya peninsula, and as this is an area that encourages active outings, you may want to avail yourself of a soothing massage at the hotel upon your return at the end of the day. Or sometimes a cooling plunge in the pool or ocean does the trick. There is a philosophy of simplicity in effect at this elegant resort, and the lack of air-conditioning will allow you to naturally attune yourself to the tropical surroundings and not interfere with the birdsongs at sunrise. Tambor Tropical is an extraordinary property.

Notes No rocks or coral is found on the spectacular long beach at Tambor, and there is only enough surf to make your swim invigorating without being frightening. The town has a few shops and restaurants and adds just enough life to make your vacation interesting but not frantic. A short drive will take you to Santa Teresa and Malpais if you want to sample world-renowned (but more challenging) surf and its unique culture, but Tambor is a great place to return to at the end of the day. It is an excellent base area from which you may explore the whole Nicoya peninsula. There is a golf course just down the road, and there is an all-inclusive resort nearby that will welcome you to its dining, disco, and casino facilities, should you desire some glitter in the evening beyond what the stars supply.

Cancellation Policy:
A 10% non refundable deposit will be taken by Inns en Route at the time of confirming the reservation. In addition, the hotel requires a deposit of 50% of total room charges due at time of reservation. If reservation is cancelled within 60 days prior to reservation arrival date, deposit will be 100% refundable, 30-60 days prior, 50% refundable, less than 30 days, a credit will be held for one (1) year. Balance of room charge is due at the time of check out.
