Set on the outskirts of Quepos, Villa Romantica is very handy to the restaurants and bars of the town, and yet just enough removed to be quiet too. A few kilometres down the road lies Manuel Antonio, its wonderful white sand beaches and the National Park full of exotic plants and animals. This hotel is set against a forested hillside and its grounds are lush with tropical flowers and palms, but the finest feature is the pool which is just perfect! Nestled up against the jungle, the bright blue tile pool framed with graceful Italian-style railings will make you want to spend much of your day there, simply relaxing. The hotel is German-owned, so if you are coming from Europe you will feel quite at home here. The rooms are basic, clean, and comfortable and face the garden and pool area. At the buffet-style breakfast you will enjoy fresh fruit, bread and cereals, and have an opportunity to meet other vacationers as you sit in the shade at the edge of the gardens. Excursions to various attractions of the area are easily arranged, and the location close to Quepos airport makes transport a simple matter.

Notes Quepos is a colourful port town that has numerous restaurants, banks, and shops. A short distance down the road is Manuel Antonio, with is world-renowned National Park and wildlife reserve. The beaches near the park entrance are beautifully natural and not particularly crowded - a great place to relax, swim, or try your hand at surfing. The jungles are crawling with curious monkeys, iguanas, three-toed sloths and hundreds of other species of birds, mammals and plants. The ocean is ideal for swimming and snorkelling, and outside of the park boundaries there is no entrance fee. There are some shops by the water that rent boogie boards, beach chairs and beach umbrellas. There are also several beachside restaurants which offer affordable, good meals. All this is 7 minutes by bus from Villa Romantica.
