Peak Season requires 3 night minimum stay (5 nights in Grand Villa). 10% non-refundable deposit will be taken by Inns en Route at the time of confirming your reservation. Some of us go to Costa Rica to get to the end of the road - to enjoy the sand, surf, and wildlife that the country is famous for, and to enjoy it without disturbance. The perfect place will be remote and natural, but not too isolated. It will have some fellow guests for society, yet not so many to be crowded. It should be close to the beach for safe yet exhilarating swimming, but also provide a quiet pool for the less adventurous. The rooms and suites should be spacious and quiet and individually decorated in tasteful exotic styles. Large covered verandahs should command sea views and air conditioning should make your sleeps peaceful. Flowers and tropical foliage in the grounds would be nice touch, and a broad sea view from the bar/dining area would be on your list, perhaps with some exotic birds clearing the crumbs from the next table. Add to this fantasy recipe a dash of luxury and plenty of good food, and you are close to describing Hotel Sugar Beach. It is very handy to the Liberia airport, so once you have survived the rigors of international travel, within an hour you will be at poolside under the waving palms. This is stuff of fantasy, and a very nice example of quiet tropical seaside resort.

This is an excellent resort for your children. One or two kids under 12 stay free in your room if no extra bed is needed.

Notes Sugar Beach is exclusively private. It lies at the end of the road and occupies the beach frontage of a charming little bay. You know you are a bit off the tourist run when you can share a spotless powder sand beach with just a handful of other people while watching the pelicans working the fishes in the breaking waves. Many colourful birds call the nearby bush home, and you are sure to see many species right on the treed, natural hotel grounds. It is lizard-land too, being a drier area than some, so your vacation is unlikely to be disturbed by rain showers, at least in high season.

A 10% non-refundable deposit will be taken by Inns en Route at the time of confirming your reservation. Cancellations made with less than 30 days' notice will be subject to first night's charge. If less that 7 days' notice given, client will be charged for 50% of price of booked period.
