Wonderfully European in style and essence, Mimos Aparthotel is a great spot for your Manuel Antonio / Quepos stay, lying between the two centres. Set amidst jungle foliage and yet close to the area's attractions, the rooms, suites and apartments are bright and colourful, and festooned with touches of truly tropical décor. The rooms all have spacious decks with table with chairs to have breakfast, sip coffee or enjoy dinner by candlelight. Tropical birds at eye-level share the rainforest view with you and there's a hammock for you to get lost in during an afternoon siesta. On a hot day you can recline in a poolside lounge chair at the end of a busy day of exploration, or simply spend the whole day here - it is a very pleasant environment. The tiles and the fiber-optic lighting in the spacious pool are new, as is the waterfall-fed Jacuzzi. There is a new building that is beautifully appointed and has its own private pool - a very special spot. Notes The Quepos - Manuel Antonio area has become Costa Rica's Pacific coast hotspot, popular with locals and foreign visitors alike. The commercial port town of Quepos is lively and colourful, full of restaurants and bars and banks and commercial activity. The road southwest takes the visitor down the peninsular road to Manuel Antonio that is reminiscent of the Italian Riviera, bordered by hotels and restaurants until it ends at the magnificent beach. Take a break from the sun and surf in the shade of the almond trees and enjoy a drink or light lunch, then visit the wonderful National Park to see the rainforest ecosystem undisturbed.
